Jetta needs your help at PAL Club
Jetta visits PAL Club at Stanton every Friday afternoon and reads with the students. She's looking for a few good dogs to join her. Let John know if you're able to join the group. The kids LOVE to see the dogs.
PAL Club goes to the Aquarium
PAL kids go to the aquarium! After a month of learning about all kinds of fish, from Salmon to Tuna, setting up fish tanks, doing fish art, experimenting with fresh and salt water, the PAL kids loaded up on the bus and metro and went to the newly renovated National Aquarium on the National Mall.
No surprise to all PAL animal lovers -- the PAL kids, who attend PAL Club at Stanton Elementary in SE DC, were excited to experience fish and other aquatic life up close and personal.
Not only does a field trip give the kids a chance to put their new animal knowledge to work, the bus and metro rides give the kids a chance to practice community-friendly behavior.
This trip was funded by PAL, DC OSSE and federal 21st CCLC funds. The goal of the federal funding is to ensure that all kids thrive academically and socially in school and life.
