PAL therapy dogs bring joy and comfort to people in hospitals, nursing homes, hospice facilities, correctional facilities, federal offices, police stations, K-12 schools, colleges and libraries throughout the Washington DC metro area. Our service area includes, the District of Columbia, Howard, Montgomery, and Prince George's Counties in Maryland, and Fairfax, Loudon, and Prince William Counties in Virginia.

On-Screen Programs

Thank you for your interest in our on-screen visits. If you and your animal companion are interested in volunteering on-screen by listening to children read, through our partnership with the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation, please email us at info@peopleanimalslove.org.

We have ended our public "Read to a PAL Dog" sessions. We overwhelmingly enjoyed providing thousands of young readers access to connections across the country during the last few years!
